For 30 years, Turenne PharMedCo Pharmacy Services has been dedicated to providing quality solutions and services for the long-term care industry. Turenne will mark its three decades in business with a year-long series of events aimed at recognizing our employees and serving our communities. We kicked off our 30th anniversary celebrations by recently partnering with LifeSouth Community Blood Centers for a blood drive at our headquarters in Montgomery, Alabama.
“This is an incredible milestone for any company. Turenne PharMedCo has achieved this success through the hard work, passion and dedication of our team and the support of our community,” said Bill Turenne, CEO and owner. “We dedicate this year to giving back to all who have made this achievement possible.”
Each month, our customers will get the opportunity to meet many of our employees via our official Facebook page. Our #BecauseOfMe social media campaign will showcase our team and the many ways they make a difference to our company and customers. Turenne PharMedCo’s 30th anniversary also offers employees and customers an opportunity to reflect on the pharmacy’s growth and impact on the long-term healthcare industry. The business was established in 1992 with a small team of dedicated nursing home professionals who concentrated on providing pharmacy services and limited medical supplies to a few customers.
“We began as a tiny company with a huge commitment,” Turenne said. “We were built on the principles that hard work and serving others lead to success. Everything we do here is for the improvement of resident care and strengthening the nation’s long-term care industry.”
Over the years, Turenne PharMedCo has grown to include locations in Birmingham and Nashville. The pharmacy now serves facilities all over the Southeast. It was the first pharmacy in Alabama to provide remote dispensing equipment and technology to its customers. Turenne PharMedCo employs about 1,000 people today. Its sister companies include a nationwide medical supply distributor and regulatory compliance website for nursing homes.
“We have always believed that we serve our industry best by providing superior service and solutions that make our customer’s jobs easier,” Turenne said. “They are entrusted with the great responsibility of caring for those in need and anything we can do to help their residents and patients is a privilege.”
